Dr. Deepti Nair is a Professor and Consultant in the Department of Microbiology at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi, India.

Dr. Nair heads the Mycobacteriology and Related Molecular Biology laboratory at VMMC. She was previously in charge of the CSF and Sterile Fluids, Blood Culture, Pus Culture, and Antibiotic Susceptibility Laboratories. She is a peer reviewer of over ten international and national scientific journals and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Patient Safety & Infection Control of the Hospital Infection Society of India. Dr. Nair has also delivered several international and national presentations and has 129 research publications.

Dr. Nair received an MBBS and an MD in Microbiology at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) at Delhi University. She completed her Senior Residency in the Department of Microbiology at MAMC.
