Dr. Payal Patel is an Infectious Disease physician, Associate Professor, and the Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship at Intermountain Health.

Dr. Patel serves on the Presidential Advisory Council on Combatting Antimicrobial Resistance and is a consultant for the US CDC on global antimicrobial stewardship. She has worked with several antimicrobial stewardship programs in countries around the world, including Japan, India, and Italy. She also helped design the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) Antimicrobial Stewardship curriculum for Infectious Disease fellows.
